Mathematical Expression (EXPRESSION)
An expression statement performs arithmetic calculations. The results are stored in the data. Such calculations include:

- Click the Add Questions tab
- Select where to insert your question from the drop down menu on the bottom left corner of the screen
- Click the “Go” button
- Select Mathematical Expression from the Type drop down menu
- Enter a Label up to 30 alpha-numeric characters beginning with a letter
- Labels are required and must be unique
- Choose a question subtype from the drop down menu:
- Zero Filled: Zero fills the data with preceding zeros before the data
- Blank Filled: Blank fills the data with preceding blanks before the data
- Specify your expression
- Click the “Enter Question Details” button to save your question
