Copying a Response List from another Question

You can copy a response list from an existing question by choosing it from the Copy Response drop down menu. Response lists that have been copied from previous questions are not linked together. For example, if you remove a response code from one question, it will not automatically be removed from the new question.

NOTE: You cannot copy a response list if you already have existing response codes. If you already have an existing list, you need to delete all of the response codes before you can use this feature.

Steps

  1. Access the Question Editor by clicking the Add Questions tab from the menu bar at the top of the page.
  2. Navigate to the question where you want to Copy your response list and click on it.
  3. Click the Enter Question Details button to expand the Question Editor.
  4. Click the Copy Responses From QN drop down menu.
  5. Choose the question that has the same response list you would like to mimic and click Go.
  6. The response list will now be added.
  7. To add enhancements; i.e. bold or italics, click on that particular response and choose the options you wish. For more information on adding enhancements, refer to Add Enhancements.
