Tell Stations
The Tell Station feature allows you to send a message to webcati and CATI interviewers. You can send a message to a single interviewer, all interviewers on a study, or a list of interviewers. In webCATI the message will only be seen after the current page in the browser has been submitted.
NOTE: The message sent can be up to 77 characters.
- Click on the Manage Tab
- Click Monitoring and Stations
- Click Tell Stations
- Select an environment from the drop down menu
- Click on the “Okay” button
- Enter message to be sent
- Choose to send message now or at the end of the interview
- Choose method of sending
- Submit and Initiate Command
- Message will be sent either immediately or at the end of the interview
- Confirmation screen will appear on-screen
Tell Stations Methods
There are 3 methods to send a message, All on Project, List Stations, and Select Stations.
- All on Project will send a message to all interviewers on a project
- Select the project(s) from the drop down menu that you want to send a message to
- Click the “Tell Interviewers” button to submit
- Interviewers will receive the on-screen message either Now or At the end of the Interview
- If sending a message to all interviewers on a single project, this method is recommended
- List Stations will send a message to all stations entered
- Enter the station or range of stations to send a message to
- Click the “Tell Listed Interviewers” button to submit
- Interviewers will receive the on-screen message either Now or At the end of the Interview
- If there are a lot of interviewers to send a message to, this method is recommended
- Select Stations will send a message to all stations selected
- Select Stations displays a list that contains the Interviewer ID, Studycode, Extension, PID, LDEV, and Time of Last Contact
- All fields are sortable
- Click each check box next to each station that you want to send a message to
- Click “Check All” to select all stations
- Click “Uncheck All” to deselect all stations
- Click the “Tell Selected Interviewers” button to submit
- Interviewers will receive the on-screen message either Now or At the end of the Interview
- If there are a few interviewers to send a message to, this method is recommended
