Edit Complete
Editing a complete allows you to modify the data. This is most often used for text changes or for coding other specify questions. Changes made during the edit process are permanent. However, when finished editing a case, you will be prompted if you want to save the changes made. Editing completes works on a case by case basis. You can find a specific case or go through the data file sequentially.
- Click the Data Analysis Tab
- Click Review Completes
- Click Edit Complete
- Select a project from the drop down menu
- Click the “Okay” button
- Click the “Start” button when the window opens up
Logging in to Edit Mode
You will not be prompted for an interviewer ID. The interviewer id “NAVA” is used. More than one user can edit at the same time.
Once you’ve logged in, the next screen will show you specifics about the survey such as interviewer id and study code. Click the “Edit Completed Interviews” button to start editing your survey. Click the “Quit” button to quit out.
Editing a Specific CaseId
You will be prompted for the caseid you want to edit. If you want to edit a specific case, type the specific cas id and click the “Next” button. If you click the “Next” button without specifying a caseid, it will find the next available record to modify.
Once you’ve entered a caseid, the next screen will show you a confirmation message displaying which caseid it picked up. Click the “Next” button to continue.
Entering Question Labels
To edit specific question(s), type the label(s) of the question(s) you want to edit (Multiple labels are accepted). If you leave this blank, it will automatically start at the beginning of the survey.
Making Edits to Questions
To modify the data, make your changes and then click the “Next/accept changes” button. This will save your changes and take you to the next question to edit. If you want to go to a specific question, type the label of the question in the [Label to GOTO] box.
Updating the Case
When you are finished making your changes, click the “Done viewing case” button. A confirmation screen will appear asking you if you want to update the case you just modified. Type Yes to save the changes, type No to discard them and click the “Next” button.
