Shutting down a study allows users to temporarily remove interviewer access to a project. This will prevent future sessions from starting but allows existing sessions to finish the survey.

To end all interviewers immediately, click the check box next to the End all interviewing immediately option and then click the “Stop Study” button. This command will Kill/Clear ALL interviewers in CATI mode as well as Suspend ALL webSurvent sessions immediately. All active interviewing sessions will be lost and no new interviewing sessions can be started. It will also set the suspend timeout temporarily. Once all interviewers have been stopped, the study will be dropped from all dialers, supervisors and monitors as well as from the server.

1. Click on the Manage Tab
2. Click Study Control
3. Click Shutdown
4. Select a study from the drop down menu
5. Select Test or Live from the drop down menu
6. Click the check box next to the End all interviewing immediately option
7. Click the “Stop Study” button
